About Sherif Nagdy

Sherif Nagdy has recently graduated with a 1st class honours BSc in Economics from the University of Surrey and is hoping to extend his studies up to Ph.D. level. His intended field of study is Quantitative Finance where he hopes to undertake research analysing contagion in financial markets, using Markov switching methods.

He has experience in technical market analysis from running private FX trading accounts as well as interning within the brokerage function of the second-largest publicly held Egyptian investment bank, based in Cairo.

His recent internship experience within a consulting company, based in London, as well as his interest in entrepreneurship and how successful companies operate, from his involvement with entrepreneurship throughout university, have combined with his love of Economics and Finance to motivate him to write analyses on companies. Sherif has been writing an online blog since 2005 and presently focuses on matters in Economics and Philosophy.
